Bloody impressive was Neville's single thought towards Dorian's action, as he himself fell backwards onto his arse, dropping his gun. A worrying amount of blood was pouring between his fingers; he'd hadn't imagined his first use of First Aid would be under gunfire. But then, this was America.

Struggling up, he pulled at Clare with his wounded arm. He would've raised the subject of running then, but the reply of his arm to his present exersion was really quite overwhealming.

There was more gunfire, equally as close as Vince’s had been, but Vince was dead now so he couldn’t possibly be shooting. A bullet struck the ground inches away from her right leg, but thankfully she wasn’t hit again. Neville shot over her head in the direction of the gunfire before falling backwards. Again, she struggled to reach her feet, but when he regained his footing and reached out a hand she managed to make it.

There was a dull thud behind her as Dorien began shouting.

“Come and get me! Shooting a girl! Shame on you!”

The adrenaline began working it’s way back into her system, funny how fear of death will do that to a person. In the sudden rush, the pain slowly receded into the back of her mind again. She reached down her good arm to help pull Ryan to his feet.

“We need to fucking move!” Clare hissed. “It’s too open and they’ll just keep coming.”

"Fuckin' Top banana." (OOC; translates, good idea!)

There were, of course, three problems with running. They'd be shot in the back without covering fire, they'd be leaving Dorian behind, and two of the party looked unable to exeed an urgent stagger.

Neville attempted to support Clare, at the same time as staunching his shoulder against her arm; someone was going to look pretty scary when this was over. That freed up his other arm to retrive his gun (still blessedly tied round his neck) and aim at the treeline. All that remained was to walk backwards to the nearest cover, replying to any more gunfire in kind, as long as the magazine held out. Neville glanced behind him, relinked his arm with Clare for support, and started walking, fast as humanely possible.

Jason was alarmed when he saw the enemy bullet take a chunk out of the tree, followed soon after by a rock and yelling.

I'm lucky I didn't try to shoot more. he thought, leaning out of the tree to fire two bullets at the running boy while letting out another five round burst at the girl and the boy with the gun.

Too much...too much..

Ryan was going to shout at Clare, to find out how someone could do such a thing. Shoot at the ground innocently, and the guy just magically ends up with a rock through his body and a missing head? No way. There were too many things missing from that.

It was all wiped from his mind when the intruder's uzi went off. The sounds were like erasers in his brain, wiping away his thinking process and leaving a blank board. The state of shock.

Jason's next burst of rounds brought Ryan back to reality. Bullet tore into his arm, ripping skin away and leaving stained bone visible. He screamed out, pulling away from Neville and Clare, nearly falling back down to the ground again. Bad enough he had been shot in the leg. Now he had to deal with this, too?

The scream continued, turning into more of a roar as he ran. He dropped down, snatched the gun out of Vince's cold hand, and squeezed the trigger, again and again...

Click, click, click, click. It was empty, much like the blackboard in his mind, save for three key words. "Stop them all."

When the boy with uzi threw his head round the tree Neville fired, and fired again. More bullets fell around him anyway, and he felt a sharper pain through his armpit. Ryan dashed forward screaming, to grab a pistol; unfortunately not a loaded one.

"Gerrout, Ryan!" Neville tore his eyes away from the boy's wound, and fired one more round at the shooter.

Jolly interesting pistol, from its intruction booklet, the Wildey...there'd been something about adjusting the gas powered bolt for the individual; though that was probably for the experts. Neville knew he could feel suprisingly little recoil, and something with a barrel that size was going to be pretty accurate.

He kept walking backwards.

Still clutching at his arm Dorian would topple down to the ground hitting the dirt with a thud and a cloud of dirt as rounds flew over his head, he had done a stupid thing a very brave thing but it was stupid and it wasnt going to save anyone.

His hand moved from his wound to the top of his head as did the other as he tried to shield himself as the air was soon by the constant sound of gunfire. What could he do? He was unarmed..He was a prime target.

Eyes peered out through the lenses of his glasses slowely to look towards the other members of the group. They were going to get themselves killed.

One hand pushing down on the ground helped him upto his feet as he began to merge stumbling with running as he moved down the length of the treeline. The sound of firarms exploding into life following him all the way, occasionally a tree would spit out splinters as a odd round caught it.

It was a long shot he knew, a very long stupid shot he knew as he would take off his glasses and begin moving them in the sunlight till the beam would be bounced off in a thin beam. Anyone could bounce light off a shiney object now came the hard part, finding the uzi shooter.

He did afterall wear glasses for a reason.

We’re all going to die.

Even Clare’s thoughts had taken a disturbing turn, not in the content because more than likely everyone was thinking the same thing, but in the way they ran through her head. They had all taken on a sing-song tone, almost as if it was all a game to her now, or as if she was happy about it.

She hobbled as quickly as she could towards the trees on the opposite side of the well, though that still didn’t make her very fast. A voice in her head was telling her to fire her shotgun, but she knew that if she stopped she was dead.

Damn it. I need to move faster!

Still moving in that sprinting crouch Peri would emerge through the trees with hopefully Eh-Sun and Stevan following ensuit. The gunfire getting closer with each step he would take.At a estimation it had to be maybe twenty meters from his position? if he had misjudged a round would no doubt pierce his eye at any given moment.

Finding a place by a tree he would crouch down on his haunches behind the tree as he glanced behind him to his companions. What was taking them?

Fingertips would be trailed over the flawless metal of the Ingram as he sat in wait for the party to really begin.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dorian was flashing the light from his glasses throughout the trees towards the machinegun shooter.Maybe he could blind him? or maybe her...was it a girl? girls would be playing to..he had seen Clare shoot down one boy.It could be a girl scared or just plain insane.

A blurred hobbling figure he could barely make out moving towards him and the treeline. One blood stained hand would be raised to wave towards her.

"Over here! Quick! Quick!" he called as his stomache would cramp up as the image of the girl collapsing from a burst of automatic gunfire would pop up in his head.

Eh-Sun meandered after Peri who was running in a crouch, holding her USP, ahving placed the Bayonette in her bag on the way there. The gunshots got louder and reapider as she followed Peri towards the well.

Seeing Peri hiding behind a tree, Eh-Sun hid behind the tree next to Peri's.

(yeah shithouse post deal with it)

Stevans jog had turned into a quick sprint as he came up behind the other two. he skidded and nelt next to peri. His anger risen for some reason. His main reasons for deciding to play the game was to release as little tension, Kill some people, as many as possible and make something of this little holiday and so far nothing. Apart from that one girl but she was hardly a challenge.

His thoughts wondered for a minute, maybe he could find a nice sharp blade, cut some flesh and give himself some new fashionable scars? It had been a good week since he had taken pleasire from this, hisfavourite act.

He punched peris shoulder to get his attention as he whispered "Why dont we just kill them all now, They like th sheep and were the wolves, there asking to be killed and dontgive me that crap about stealth because as soon as the first shot goes off there going to know were here anyway"

He needed to get a bigger body count, He was getting somewhat jealous of the other two he was travelling with, so far theyd gotten a good amount of deaths to there name and an arsenal with it, stevan had killed one girl and gotten a pair of glasses out of it.

Footfalls and voices. Lots of them. But no bullets; maybe somebody had got hit.

"Gerrout, Ryan!" Nev shouted again. But how did you gerrout on a leg disgorging itself onto the dirt? Neville looked at Clare, then at Ryan, and felt like shit. They'd reached cover; hopefully from the new arrivals as well.

"Find a stick, or jus' use t' bloody gun. T' small house; we're goin' now."

Ryan...it'd be a reason for him to exist, running back for him. He'd have done it, if he still didn't know what a bullet did. He was alive, and didn't deserve it.

OOC: Sorry for the inactivity, couldn't think of a good idea.

IC: Most of the bullets either missed or hit the tree, causing splinters to fly off, but one hit at an angle, sending a jagged piece of wood into Jason's face just below the right eye. Grunting, he made the mistake of stepping back, howling in pain as one bullet grazed his hip and took a chip off the bone and then three more went into the meat of his upper right leg (a painful injury, but mostly superficial.). Raising the uzi, he fired as he strafed to the right towards another tree, waving the machine gun around to spread the bullets out around the area and angling some at the running figure until his gun clicked with the familiar sound of an empty clip. Stopping behind the tree, the announcement went off while he was reloading. He had officially survived one week on the island, and hope swelled in him at Danya's implication that the winner would be allowed to go home as long as they killed.

Very well, I'll kill as many as I can. I'll win this game and go home! I'm sure my parents would understand...

Click, click, click. . .

It all slowly clicked into place in his mind.

"T'small house; we're goin' now."

The gun was empty. A waste of his time, as the clip was empty. But, his gun...it had never been used. Ryan threw Vince's empty gun as a distraction, and crawled to get his own weapon when the bullets stopped. When it was back in his grasp, he took off running to the Small House.

Clare limped along as quickly as she could, though she was half dragged by Neville much of the time. She wasn’t sure if the wound in her leg was just a graze or something deeper, but either way it hurt like hell, to put it mildly. The way things were looking, she’d most likely bleed out within the hour if her wounds weren’t treated soon. At least they were hurriedly making their way from the well, hopefully leaving the shooters behind.

She was no longer thinking, only acting. Each act only with the motivation of self preservation. Everyone is greedy, right? Pretty much everyone wants to live, so no one could really blame her, right? Right?

The only words dancing through her head were those trying to clear her conscience, cleanse her of the guilt and fear brought on by the game and her own actions.

Was I really that wrong?
