Princess caught Tonya's eye sidelong and nodded. The smile Princess wore grew sweeter, she generally agreed with the fanciful pomp of this scenario- unlike some unimportant nameless- and agreed with Tirzah with that exact smile. Mirrored sentiment, much as Princess was typically loathe to share anything as personal as sentiments with those she charitably called peers.
"Somethings probably don't need to be asked. For the sake of their majesty." Certainly a misplaced word, that, but it was just scripted enough to be pertinent to Princesses' au-natural brand.

"Senator." Princess doffed the pageboy she'd been innocuously flaunting. She cared little for politics insofar as it smelled terrible on mothers wine-stained breath, but authority was due at least cordially prompt respect. Speak of the devil's advocate. There was an annoying voice with a certain quality of pestilence. Continuing to, with admirable thoroughness, needlessly sink his own dignity by opening his mouth where it did not need to be opened. It bore repeating: amateur. Few other words adequately described one who desperately played to save face, who had so little face to save.
"It's Senator Dupree's call, I believe." Cheery, airy. Perfect.
You could always sit out the photo- is what Princess would have said in addendum if she had been the person who most needed that exact advice, in short, the one who most utterly disregarded it in a pitiful stutter's worth of embarrassment.

Midmorning photo op at the Lincoln memorial, and no I do not take criticism (Open)
Katelynne returned to her own little world, repositioning the scene to where it was kinda close to how it was before, and when she turned back around half-absentmindedly she saw him.
Senator Beau Gunner Dupree (R). Senator Dupree was right here! Her heart fluttered as she eyed him top down from those salt and pepper locks of hair and fashionable amount of stubble to his powerful yet firm knees. Katelynne was no homewrecker, but she'd be down to be his Monica Lewinsky. Maybe. She'd ponder it later.
Anyway, a picture with him let alone a group photo guest starring her Furbies? She didn't know what to say, this was all too much. She should've been sitting down for this in case she got a case of the vapors.
Ronald protested the direction of the photo, which honestly Katelynne kind of agreed with at least in regards to the staging being distracting. Them being on the ground would probably make it hard to get a good shot, plus she still wasn't happy with the setup; anything less than perfect would make her the laughing stock of her own followers. One of Katelynne's faves got laughed off of Tumblr when she posted her mermaid Furby with bad stitch work, and that experience still shook her. The Furby mod game was too cutthroat to make such sloppy mistakes.
"Nah, Ronald's right. I think the stairs would be a better backdrop, too, and I reckon it'd be better to just hold 'em up. Is that all right with you, Mr. Dupree?"
She didn't wait for an answer before bending over to pick up Serendipity and his two followers. She gently lobbed Borky the yellow Furby to Tonya and Pippin the gray Furby to Ronald before setting herself up for the shot with Serendipity cradled in her arms.

Tonya looked on in a mixture of awe, befuddlement, and fear, as Tirzah, God bless her crazy ass, ran up to Senator Dupree, the fucking Senator Dupree, hailing from Tennessee, the place where they all came to be. This situation was certainly weird, alright, especially with the $200 answer for Young Politicos standing right there in the flesh. His politics were kinda whack as all hell, but a photo with a real-life senator who was actually right there and not a cardboard standee was not something that deserved to be ignored.
She began to smile at the sight, just a bit, but as her gaze fell upon Ron, who was managing to embarrass himself even more than he already managed to on a daily basis, Tonya had to cover her mouth to stop the laughter from escaping. There was nothing more enjoyable than seeing an asshole get his just desserts, and right now, those were being force-fed right into his kisser.
Still, she had to be civil and look all good for the photo op, though. Honestly would've cared about laughing in his face anywhere else, but in DC, right in front of Dupree? That was a bit too disrespectful, even for her tastes. Patrice did not need to know that this was a side of her mama that came out quite often.
The things coming out of Wannabe's mouth were pure nonsense, but Princess was as civil as she usually was, while Kateline seemed to be trying to marshal everything up real nice for the photo. At least, that's what she was thinking before a Furby got tossed into her arms just like that.

Okay, fine. This was still fucking weird. But still, it was a photo with a goddamn Senator, and she was not about to let this get away. Making her way confidently, or as confidently as one could holding a Furby in front of the National Monument and all.
Standing beside Kate (she wasn't gonna even try anymore), she grinned, a rye smile displaying her orthodontic glory. "So, hokay. This still weird as shit," she shrugged. "But if it causes things like this to happen? All cool with me, girl."
She then called out to the Senator, her best shit-eating grin on display.
"Again, Senator, this means so much to all of us students! Nothing we appreciate more than getting to see a public servant in action."

She tossed her camera to the tired-looking assistant and turned to face away from the stairs so they would be the photo's backdrop. Tirzah put her arm around Princess and pulled in close so that they would all be in the photo.
"Say Furbeeeeeeees" she said, smiling as she drew out the last syllable.
