The Drive-In

The Drive-In's been around for as long as just about anyone can remember, and even your grandparents could probably tell you stories about driving out here to watch the "picture show" when they were your age. Indeed, this place has been around since the days of black-and-white movies, and it's popularity seems to have never decreased. When the original owner of the drive-in passed away about ten years ago, a man by the name of Frank Magallanes bought the old drive-in.

The Magallanes family put a lot of time and effort into the drive-in, restoring and renovating the place into something almost brand-new. A new snack bar was put in and the old screen taken away and replaced by a newer and much better one. The parking lot was fixed up, and the signs out front were changed from the previous proprietor's names to that of "Frank Magallanes's Drive-In Movie Extravaganza".

When the Drive-In was reopened after renovation, people flocked to it. Frank did away with the former tradition of showing only the classics, and instead began showing the "good" movies of modern-day. The theatre opens around noon, but you never really see anybody there during the day. Around night-time, the place starts booming, and there are cars everywhere.

Frank has made it an almost religious practice to revive the "classics" late at night, and the sounds of an old Godzilla movie or something of that nature can often be heard echoing throughout the city at 3 in the morning. Students flock to this isolated little spot for a little one-on-one time with their significant other, or to hang out with a group of friends. It's become quite the romantic little dating spot over the years.
