Major Taylor Skate Park

When Tom Taylor envisioned building the largest skating park he'd ever seen, anywhere in the state of New Jersey didn't seem like a prime location for such a place. However, lack of funding wouldn't allow him to build it across the river in New York, so New Jersey it was. When he bought the land and received the building permits for the park, however, he couldn't have been more wrong about what a tragic flop this park was going to be.

The park started out small, but quickly gained the attention of the New Jersey population. People came in, profit flowed through, and expansion followed. The bigger the park grew, the more people flocked to it, and soon people from New York and the surrounding areas were coming just to test out this massive skate park.

Tom couldn't have been happier at the unprecedented success of the park, and its location out in the open and not confined by building and other structures made it easily expandable: so much so that it inevitably grew to 15,300 feet of pure, unadulterated concrete. You can see the students of the nearby schools, as well as many travelers from nearby cities and towns, occupying the premises on many a day, and it's quite the popular little hangout.
