Appearance: Mr. Faust is imposing at 6' 0" and 185 pounds, cutting quite a sharp figure in his usual suit jackets and slacks. He has broad shoulders and a toned physique, though he is starting to gain a bit of weight around his middle. Mr. Faust is biracial, half Caucasian and half African-American; he is light-skinned, with dark brown eyes and curly black hair which he keeps trimmed short. He has a small, wispy mustache which some students privately deem a "porn-stache" and make frequent jokes about.

Biography/Personality: Mr. Faust was born and raised in Chattanooga, though he is not especially fond of it; he attended college in New York City and worked there for a few years afterwards, with every intention of staying, but he returned to Tennessee when his mother was diagnosed with liver cancer. The elderly Mrs. Faust has been hanging on for several years now, though there is little hope of a full recovery, and Mr. Faust is mainly biding his time and helping his siblings care for her and foot the medical bills.

Mr. Faust makes it no secret that he is often frustrated with the current state of his life, and unfortunately that frustration gets misdirected at his students, particularly those who slack off or fool around in class. He is a strict teacher and something of a perfectionist, and his students either greatly like or dislike him, with few feeling indifferent. He is willing to work one-on-one with promising musicians, though those that take him up on it report that his tutoring can be a harrowing experience.
