Name: Jerome Clarke
Position: Art Teacher
Gender: Male
Age: 55

Appearance: Mr. Clarke is rather grandfatherly looking man, seeming older than his 55 years. He is 5' 10" tall but stands with a stoop which causes him to appear shorter, and weighs 171 pounds. He is Caucasian, and his skin is weathered and tanned. His hair is silver, approaching white at the temples, and thinning, though he most often wears it slicked back in an attempt to hide this. His eyes are light brown, always magnified by his thick rectangular glasses. Mr. Clarke moves slowly and carefully thanks to arthritis. He still dresses far more casually than most of the other teachers at Hunter High, favoring button-down shirts with loud prints, particularly Hawaiian prints, and black slacks or even blue jeans.

Biography/Personality: Mr. Clarke has always been a free spirit. He spent his early adulthood traveling around the country and earning his keep through freelance painting and photography before he chose to settle down and earn his teaching certification in Chattanooga. He always brings a laidback atmosphere to the classroom, feeling that people are at their best and most creative when they are at ease and not at all buying into the idea that true art is born out of suffering. Though the onset of rheumatoid arthritis has made it difficult for Mr. Clarke to paint as often as he would like now, he remains a warm and encouraging guiding figure to the students in his art classes. He does have a habit of favoring some students over others if he takes a particular liking to them or their artistic style, but he tries not to be obvious about it.
