Silvia Garcia

NPCs (non-player characters) go here. This section is for characters who will not be participating in the game, including teachers and school administration. To encourage consistency, the staff have created a number of ready-made teachers, all of whom are available for free handler use unless stated otherwise. Please link any appearances these staff make in threads by replying to their topics. For this pregame, any additional NPCs will require staff approval on a case-by-case basis. Please contact staff if you wish to create any NPCs, and note that we will generally be trying to keep their numbers slim; pregame is, first and foremost, about the students.

Name: Silvia Garcia
Position: Vice Principal
Gender: Female
Age: 26

Appearance: Ms. Garcia is a small, energetic Latina woman who stands at 5' 2" and weighs 122 pounds. She has a deep tan skin tone and long-lashed dark brown eyes, and shoulder-length dark brown hair which she habitually wears in a sleek bun. Ms. Garcia dresses professionally but with touches such as bright colors and floral accessories which keep a youthful feel to her outfits. She wears simple makeup, more to look polished than to really accentuate her already-pretty features.

Biography/Personality: Ms. Garcia was born and raised in Chattanooga, and has never entertained the thought of living anywhere else. She loves her home city and is frequently involved in community projects which seek to both celebrate and improve life in Chattanooga. She shows a similar amount of school spirit, often dressing in George Hunter High's school colors for events and lending a hand wherever necessary. Her position as vice principal is the first long-term job she has had since obtaining her certification, and for all her enthusiasm Ms. Garcia often exudes a nervous energy; she strongly desires to make good impressions on parents and other faculty and to generally be seen as competent. To this end, she sometimes steps in when she feels Mr. Cromwell and other teachers aren't being firm enough in their handling of discipline or organization. She is well-intentioned but has gained a reputation for being somewhat pushy and nosy.
"Art enriches the community, Steve, no less than a pulsing fire hose, or a fireman beating down a blazing door. So what if we're drawing a nude man? So what if all we ever draw is a nude man, or the same nude man over and over in all sorts of provocative positions? Context, not content! Process, not subject! Don't be so gauche, Steve, it's beneath you."
