"Well, hey, look," Kichiro nodded towards the smoke that was billowing up nearby. It mesmerized him for a split second, his eyes rising up with the smoke.

"Look, don't get any ideas," Umi started.

Kichiro nodded slightly, but he was worried. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he knew that his sister had to be here. He could feel she was there, and she could very well be in that fire.

"I..have to go," he replied quickly and ran.

Andrew watched Kichiro oddly run off towards the flames. His behavior was beyond bizarre, and Andrew figured that to run into fire was certain death. His condition prevented him from chasing after the boy, so he looked up at Umi on the cliff up top and yelled to her.

"Hey Umi! I thought we were all going to stay together, what's he doing?" He said as he pointed to Kichiro.

Umi shook her head in disbelief. That kid was going to die. What could she do but stare dumbfoundedly? She couldn't run after him.

Kichiro was down the hill when he heard someone yelling something from back in the group, he couldn't make out the name, but he didn't have the time. His sister could be there in that fire! He had to find her.

Kiyoko turned around whan Kichiro walked away "Kichiro torikaesu acchi!! (Kichiro Get back here!!)" Kiyoko yelled towards him but it was too late he was already gone "unchi,unchi,unchi (shit,shit,shit)"

Andrew turned his head and looked at everyone.

"So now what the hell do we do?"

He shook his head. Things were beginning to degenerate, and he didn't like it one bit.

"Guess we won't be seeing him again" Dai realised his last sentance had sounded very cruel..~well i'm just being truthful~ He looked towards the Japanese girl ~If she can't speak english...looks like I just became an unofficial translator~

A Note to the Reader: Although Daisuke is technically in the thread beyond this point, he has no action or dialogue. Therefore, his link to the next segment of his story shall be provided in this topic.

Andrew couldn't help it - the comment that Daisuke said with seeming sarcasm made him shudder. This is FUCKED. How many more people are going to go running off to die? At least they can run.

Seeing Daisuke start to think intently, he shivered again. He needed to talk to someone, get some sort of conversation going. It was too quiet, too serious. Andrew wasn't prepared for levity - he was pissed off beyond all means, but he just needed some noise. The silence was deafening in it's own way.

Wheeling over to the top of the cliff, he braked beside Umi, who he saw was looking out over the cliff. She looked glum, he noticed. At least, that was how he saw it.

I'm sure I just look fucking peachy myself.

"Yo...Umi. I know we're all just chillin' here for now and all, but does anyone have a plan or anything? Yo, without a plan, we're just sitting ducks here."

Umi turned to Andrew to answer, "The problem with that is that there's no way to plan in secret. At least... not that we know of. We were trying to bounce off ideas earlier, but then you kind of fell from the sky."

She looked back out, over towards the smoke.

"I wonder what happened to Kichiro."

Andrew shook his head.

"I just hope he didn't go running in there, you know? You inhale too much of that, and guy, you're fucked. I'm sorry to say but if he went running in there, he probably ain't comin' out."

"It's just so much senseless death, you know? I don't get it. Like are we supposed to be entertaining these guys, or what? It just doesn't make sense to me."

Umi shivered unintentionally.

"This is broadcast on television. And it makes me sick to think that it actually might have viewers."

She started to shift nervously.

"Look, talking about this game is just going to put us on edge. Why not try something else? How about what was going on before this game? I don't think me and you kept in touch a whole lot...."

Andrew agreed vehemently. "Yeah, you're right. Fuck this game."

He leaned back in his chair, and sighed as she brought up the fact that they hadn't really spoken much in the past year. He drummed nervously on his right leg with his fingers.

"Well, yeah...you're right. To be honest, after...well, this..." He guestured to his legs. "...after this happened, I kinda didn't talk to anyone really. Maybe Dodd a bit, but that was it. Really fucked me up good, you know? I used to play hockey, I used to play pool...and I guess not being able to do most of that shit anymore, it just...it just hurts a lot, you know? I kinda shut down, I didn't really socialize much."

He sighed.

"I know the Andrew that hung around with you a bit in grade 9 is still here, somewhere, but I guess after the accident I became really disillusioned with everything. Kinda sucks that this whole thing had to happen, because honestly, things were starting to look up. It's actually my birthday on the 25th..."

He blinked.

"Well hell, I guess that's tomorrow, huh? Fuck, looks like I will live to see 18. Barely. Heh."

Cassandra watched as Kichiro ran off into the distance, she wa going to follow but dared not, he was going into danggerous territory. He didn't seem to be too willing to reconsider either. She didn't like the thought of not having Kichiro there, he was sort of the voice in their little group and the only one that really seemed to trust Cassandra. Kiyoko still seemed rather suspicious with the way she handled her weapon, though it was dangerous to really trust anyone too much in this game.

She didn't know anyone in this new group at all, of course, no one from her old school was here. Just her. What rotten luck she had. Were any of her former classmates watching her on TV? Were there really some sadists out there making a bet on this twisted game? What is someone had bet on her, or worse, what if someone bet against her? No matter, she most likely wouldn't live to see the results. No, wait, that wasn't the kind of thing to think about right now, she thought, even though Kichiro was gone someone had to have a plan to get off of this forsaken island. Besides, she did have her shotgun if anything went wrong. She wasn't too experienced with guns, but judging by the screams of the first two people she came into contact with it was a pretty damn powerful gun.

Though Cassandra was still quite wary of Kiyoko, this Umi person seemed trustworthy, and the guy in the wheelchair...well, she could sort of sympathize with him. They both had pretty darn big physical handicaps that could cost them their lives. If Cassandra were to hurt her good hand in any way, she wouldn't have any means of using a weapon.

She walked in closer to the group so she could hear what they were saying, she wasn't really the kind of person to just jump into any conversation, perhaps someone would talk to her soon. Or perhaps not, which might be better for her.

Kiyoko placed her flail on the ground and tucked her legs towards her her body.I have no choice but to trust this group yet i have to talk through Andou.

"Andou,sukuuru onushi yori? (Andou,What school are you from?)"

Kiyoko said tring to strike up a conversation with the only person who she can talk to

Andrew sighed as he sat back in his chair.

This shit sucks, man.

As he conversed with Umi, he noticed one of the other girls, whom he didn't recognize creep over and start to eavesdrop a little. Andrew didn't mind, for really, if they were being broadcast on television, everyone was going to know what they were saying anyways.

"So, Umi...see anything interesting down there, aside from flames?"

He shook his head. The lookout point seemed to be a little useless at this point thanks to the smoke that was billowing over the island. He glanced at the silent girl, and addressed her.

"Hey, and where're you from? I don't remember seeing you before..."

Aiden's arm hurt bad. He walked towards Umi, Andrew and Dai.


"I hope I'm not imposing?"

He like Andrew, also noticed the other girl eavesdropping, oh well he thought, he smiled at her and waved, half trying to be friendly to their new guest and half trying to let her know what a terrible job she was doing, spying.
