Umi understood now. That was the gleam in his eye when he was about to jump shotgun boy.

"So, my slapping you helped?"

"yeah, brought me back down to earth, thanks..."

She smiled. It was alright. Nothing to worry about too much.

"I don't see a problem with it, plus I get to take relieve tension," she glanced at the passed out Aiden.

"What are you going to tell him?"

"ano....i'm not sure...I don't know how he'd take it" the last think Daisuke wanted to do was frighten the other boy..

“Oh, this is wonderful…” Edward muttered as he held his map up somewhat, trying to locate his current location. Since he had left Adam and Alan he had allowed himself to follow the river he had come across. Following the bank of following water, though now he wasn’t quite sure where along the river he was…

Sighing, he continued along till the sounds of crashing water came into hearing range. He blinking somewhat as he brought his map up once again, overlooking it his eyes landing on the figure of a waterfall. Stepping briskly he had his way toward the sounds, the water growing louder with each step.

As the waterfall itself came into view, so did the three there. Gulping he quickly threw himself behind a tree, unclear of who they where from this distance. Breathing slowly, he went to move but not before he felt someone break under his foot and a ‘crack’ fill the air, he lifting his foot lightly to look down at the broken branch. Eyes narrowing, ‘Way to go Pepper Spray boy… you’re hiding skills are so top notch.' Edward hissed sarcastically at himself in thought.

Umi was about to answer when she heard the snap. She stood up quickly and her gun was aimed at someone behind a tree.

"Hands up. Don't...move."

Edward let another sigh pass, as he rose his hands plainly into view as stood silently. Yeah, nothing like starting out the day with a chest full of lead. "I'm not armed... with anything useful." He said lightly.

"Come where we can see you, now," she said, calmer than the first time she did this.

Aiden blinked. Where the hell was he? He was lying uncomfortably on the ground. He jolted, everything coming back to him swiftly, he grimaced at the throbbing pain in his arm. He heard Umi's voice, as well as the voice of another... had they found a new companion already? He looked around, they hadn't moved from the waterfall. He lay up and saw Daisuke, turning he could see Umi and the other boy. He shivered, was this boy friend or foe.

"What's going on," Aiden whispered.

"Right, right." He muttered stepping out from behind the tree, keeping his hands in the air as he over-looked the small group. All but one seemed familar, but he didn't feel like placing names to faces. Edward knew his life was more important at the moment than if these people where in his classes at school or not...

"Gerade mein glück..."

Umi walked over to the intruder, ignoring Aiden for a moment. Safety first.

With her left hand she patted him down, then she backed up again.

"Where's your weapon?"

Edward flashed a grin, keeping his hands draw up. "Left front pocket." He muttered lightly, a somewhat amused sound in his voice. "Thing of pepper spray, compaired to you and your weapon seems I was the unlucky one in the draw."

"Compared to all three of us, you're very unlucky. We all have guns," she said.

"Are you playing the game?"

Question after question...this is the last though. We may not need him in the group, but he'll be safe to be around for now. I think.

"Oh... well that's peachy." He said lightly, eyebrow raising at the next question. Was he going to play this game?

Depends on how long the medicine lasted he guessed.

But for now, it be better to make friends than enemies... Smiling some he shook his head softly. "No... I'd rather not play this at all."

Umi finally put the gun down, then smiled back.

"You can rest here, I guess, as long as you're telling the truth," she shot him another look. Then she went to Aiden.

"Feeling better?" she asked, then pressed her hand against his forehead. She didn't feel any fever.
