Appearance: Mrs. Garvey is a short woman, standing at 5'' exactly. Her gray hair is cut short, and barely reaches the top of her ears. She has dark brown eyes, thin lips, and a long, sharply pointed nose. Her tanned skin is somewhat wrinkled, and she had strong worry lines on her forehead. Her attire usually consists of smart pantsuits in a variety of tasteful colors, and she's always seen in a pair of black loafers.

Biography/Personality: On the outside, Mrs. Garvey appears to be a rather stereotypical librarian. She's quiet, and radiates an air of authority to her students. She has strict policies in her library, and is known for her dislike of students who return books late or damaged.

However, Mrs. Garvey is far from stereotypical. Besides being a notorious gossip around the office (about students and staff alike), she's also noted for her many marriages- she's currently on husband number 5. She chain smokes cigarettes, though the Library's near constant smell of fresh linen air freshener tends to disguise this. In her youth, she set out to become a published author. However, when her writing career fell through, she settled on becoming a librarian to surround herself with the books she loved. Despite her somewhat snippy exterior, students who get on her good side will often be engaged in fascinating literary debates about authors and novels alike, and Mrs. Garvey will always be willing to assist them on an essay or two.
