Appearance: Ms. Blanc looks older than her forty-five years, with deep wrinkles from overexposure to sun lining her face and her skin beginning to sag just a little. Her 5'6" frame carries a few extra pounds which she tries to hide almost obsessively behind loose-waisted jeans and skirts or long jackets. In the losing battle against aging her defenses include makeup which is applied expertly but heavily and her hair, which has been dyed an unnatural shade of blonde which doesn't match her darker eyebrows. Behind the makeup her face is almost hawklike with a sharp nose and chin and heavy brows that overshadow her dark green eyes. She favours large amounts of jewelry, especially handmade pieces, and is usually wearing several rings, bracelets, and an assortment of necklaces.

Biography/Personality: Born into what some might call the quintessential middle-class American family,  Souzanne Blanc lived her life fighting to get away from suburbia. Her dream was always to support herself somehow on her art or writing, but as the world kept turning and money began to run out during trips to Europe, Asia, and Central America, she soon found herself struggling for the financial support she needed. Her parents promised to support her so long as she was in college and after she had enrolled, pushed her towards teaching. She's never quite forgotten that and while she certainly started teaching for the love and joy that came from sharing her enthusiasm for visual media with children, she's recently begun to chafe under her job. After divorcing from her husband some two years prior, it's become extremely obvious that she doesn't really want to be at Aurora anymore, but doesn't know how to move on.

She's not particularly well liked among the student body. Her penchant for lecturing on spirituality during classes and her notoriously strict marking which often seems to penalize anything she doesn't personally like have taken their toll and she is widely considered a poor teacher. Even serious art students often find themselves frustrated with her mood swings and obvious dissatisfaction with the job. Her presence in the art room for almost the entire school day means that students usually avoid it unless they know for sure that she's somewhere else, as all too often they'll be sucked into uncomfortable conversation or forced to agree with her point of view.
