Her phone rang. It was on her laps. Nobody had bothered her for the last three days, so it had been a surprise when someone finally decided to check up on her.
"Ophelia, where the fuck have you been?"

She put the phone down, and waited.

It's been a certain time since her phone had died. While she did have her phone charger, there was no reason to use it. Her family knew she was alive. She had called them, left them a note that she needed time and distance, took her money and left. Wandering the Chattanooga gave her something to do while she waited for the reveal.
Lucas was still nowhere to find. She had slept in the public bathroom of a park last night. The security guard woke her up. Originally, he thought she was one of the missing kid, but after revealing her full name, he quickly realized she wasn't part of that missing group. Her parents had reported her missing, and Oph had never felt this betrayed. She was quite clear with her instructions: leave her alone and she'd be back on June 14th.
He told her to stay right here. As he went outside to call her parents, Ophelia slipped out through the window. With her bag, she made a run for it.

Ophelia laid her phone on her chest. It was strange. The butterflies were quite awake tonight. It made her stay up, unable to do anything but think of him. It was strange. Only one week had passed without seeing him, at least properly, face-to-face, and Ophelia was already feeling the withdrawals.
"Text me when you wake up!"

The house had been abandoned for quite some time now. Lucas wasn't there. If he wasn't there, he must be nowhere. Stuck between two universe, melting from one to another, gone without the shadow of a doubt. The house had been empty even with Ophelia in it. Dilapidated without mercy, Ophelia became the center piece of the puzzle once again.
She sat with her chin on her knees. She just needed wait for a month. Perhaps three weeks, perhaps even less. It was a matter of time. Ophelia, unlike Lucas, had all the time in the world to win. Even if the odds were set up for her, it wasn't a very satisfying win condition. Her phone had some battery left. She had charged it in a store.
Ophelia dialed the number. The creation of the world took seven days, but the destruction of Ophelia's took less than 52 hours.
"Hey mom, I'm ready to come home."
