Ms. Lavender Ripley, you are hereby notified that you have been selected as a prospective juror for the courts of Hamilton County, Tennessee, for the three week period beginning on May 22, 2018. You are required to call the courthouse every evening after 5:00 PM at (423) 209-6726 to find out whether you will be required to report the following day. Should you fail to appear, you may be held in contempt of court and fined up to $500, plus any applicable court fees.

You are eligible for jury service only if you are a United States citizen of at least eighteen years of age, have not served on a jury in the previous twenty-four months, have resided in Hamilton County for at least twelve months, and have not been convicted of a felony. If you believe you are ineligible, please note the reason below.

You may request a postponement of service to a different date within the next twelve months, so long as you have not received a postponement in the previous twelve months and so long as your request is made at least ten business days prior to your scheduled start of service.

You may be excused from service only if serving will constitute undo hardship. This is defined as severe and damaging physical, emotional, or financial circumstances stemming from the conditions of service. If you believe you qualify for an exemption on these grounds, please note this below, including any and all related documentation. Failure to properly document your hardship may result in your request being denied.
