Onslaught Redux

Return to the Warehouse

A large, and old warehouse. The corners are covered with cobwebs, and there are a few cracks in the flooring showing its old age. This would make a great meeting place for any group, because of the table, chairs, random knickknacks, and all the tools.

‘You’re a bleeding moron you know that?’

With a resounding chuckle, the black-haired boy he was staring at turned on him with an amused look and a shrug, ‘And why would that be mate?’

Martyn sighed a bit, falling back onto his bed, and fixing himself in a sitting position glancing about the dorm room he shared with this boy and two others at the Academy. The Holidays had just started and a majority of the kids where leaving to go home, himself included to a degree, he was going to stay with his aunt in Ireland. His parents in France at the moment, and not trusting him enough to remain at the school with his friends, they decided to send him off to that old bat’s house.

‘Because… you’re going to get caught, and then you’re going to get suspended.’

‘And this is coming from the kid who hacks into the school’s computer to change grades.’

He had a point, a good point at that, the young man simply sighing again and glancing off, his friend laughing with a musing look and returning to his packing. ‘Don’t worry about us… you just go have fun in Ireland, we’ll make sure to bring you back a gift.’

‘Better be a damn good one.’

‘Ha. Don’t worry it will be, we’ll be back in a week, so I suppose we’ll see one another then?’

‘Course, liked I’d stay there longer than I had too.’

~~~~
Now he’d be more than happy to be stuck in Ireland, trapped in that old house with that old, vodka-drinking, chain-smoking great aunt of his, listening her to complain about everyone and everything that looked or did her wrong. At this moment, that was heaven on Earth… he should be back at school, two days ago he should have been walking back through the doors of his dorms, two days ago – his birthday.
He should have been happy… laughing, he couldn’t even remember the day of his birthday passing, these days on the island passing without much or little thought to him, everything seemed to pass in a blue – expect now, now when everything was playing itself in such like a movie in slow motion.
Glazed look was kept on his visible friend, listening to her speak out to Jack with a small smile on his features, a low laugh leaving him as he breathed out. “Yeah… Jack, it’s really all up to you now it seems – kicked some terrorist ass for us.” He muttered half-hearted manner, his attention falling downward, and finding only find – the blood that had been flowing from his mouth as he had been lying there, the sticky, warm liquid sipping under his face, bringing some warmth to his face that had chilled against the cold floor.
It was odd, the more time seemed to pass – the better he was starting to feel, the numbness starting to fully cover everything.
The jerking continued for a bit as the blood loss continued, twitching his fingertips as he tried to grip and anything… anyone – finding an odd sense of fear setting, and the need for comfort wanted. He felt like a five-year-old that was scared of the monsters under the bed, or the boogie man in the closet, though it wasn’t anything like that… it was the fear of dying that was setting in over him like a blanket, suffocating him on his air and life, as breathes began to become more shallow.
Trying to take in more air that his lungs just couldn’t take, a choked sound -- gurgling somewhat as another push of blood was forced up into his throat, trying to cough it out, but found the inability do… tasting nothing but copper, and seeing just red… this wasn’t how he pictured he died… he had never thought of death, he didn’t want to think of it now… but the harsh facts of reality where beating down on him just too hard it seemed.
"Martyn... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Those words had him force his eyes back on Jill, a smile – though sad – pressed on his lips again, slowly shaking his head lightly, “Not your fault Jill… shouldn’t ‘ave made a fuss, we should ‘ave just left… wouldn’t ‘ave got us stuck like this.”
He wasn’t sure if the girl had heard him, because as he muttered those words, her body collapsed against the ground again – Martyn watching lightly – wanting to speak up, but knowing it wouldn’t be worth much… burying his head down against the ground again somewhat, closing eyes, not carrying about the blood his was pressing his face in.
Breathing in once more, though found something catching in this throat, air not escaping or coming in… choking coughs escaping him as he could feel himself coughing more blood but found the inability to bring in air keeping.
~~~~

‘So – what to head to that new movie when we get back, you know – for your birthday and all?’

Martyn glanced off from under his rain hood lightly, looking thoughtful with a shrug.

‘Sure, looked good… why not, we can go down to that new shop afterwards too, heard they got a lot of good stuff in.’

‘Typical day then?’

‘Typical day.’

~~~~
No more typical days…
No more skipping classes to throw water balloons from the Gym roof…
No more learning boring piano pieces for weeks on end…
No more football games – cheering and betting on your team…
Home… friend…family… life…
It all was fading into black as his vision seemed to shadow, and cloud over, nine days trapped on this hell. Nine days trying to survive, only to end like this… a choking gasp trying to get air into his lungs was the last for Martyn as everything seemed to break down, and stop at that point.
The jerking, and twitching muscles stopping, blood still flowing but without a heartbeat came at a slower flow, the tears all but dried up now. Two weeks of surviving, working hard to get off this island – and maybe coming so close. All ending in a flash… like the end of a play, and the falling curtain, it was over.
Hannah looked above her to Sidney with tears in her eyes, she was going to die. Those days of happiness with her family and friends were going to be gone forever. Her life flashed before her eyes as she reached her free hand up towards Sidney’s.
Hannah’s hand grasped Sidney’s, and for a moment it seemed like she would actually make it. Then, from inside the warehouse, came a rattling explosion which sent her falling out of Sidney’s Grasp. Time stood still for Hannah at that moment, her mind drifted to a place inside her head as she fell.
It was outside, a slight wind blowing huge snowflakes around her. She always loved it when it snowed like this, she felt like it was pure magic all around her. Stories from her father about the magic inside the snow flooded into her mind as she tried to catch the snowflakes on her tongue.
Figures silently came out of the snow around her, Hannah’s Mother and Father, her friends from the youth ground, and he finally came last.
“Kurt…” Hannah whispered, her breath billowing out in a puff of cold air. She ran forward and hugged him; he embraced her softly and nuzzled his head against hers.
“It’s time to go Hannah, someplace better than this.” Kurt spoke to her, his voice loud and clear, drifting along the wind and into her ears. His eyes gleamed as he grabbed her hand and began to pull her into the billowing snow.
Hannah’s Mother and Father left together in the opposite direction from Hannah and Kurt, with the Youth group quickly following behind them. Their footprints fading in the snow as the left, such as Hannah’s life was fading.
“Why aren’t they coming Kurt?” Hannah asked him, her blue eyes staring into his as the continued to move into the snow. It fell faster, slowly turning her vision white as they both faded from view.
“Because you and I have a lot of catching up to do”
Hannah’s body slammed into the ground at full force, creating a sickening crunch as she landed a few feet away from the Terrorist Angelina Kaige. Her spine breaking in to many pieces, her ribs puncturing through her lungs, and blood flowing from inside of her. She smiled into the sky as the imaginary snow drifted around in her vision, blood slowly leaking from her mouth and nose.
Her hair laid sprawled around her head, matted with sweat, blood and tears. Crying happily she opened her mouth to speak and sputtered out her last words.
“I love you Kurt!”
And so, Hannah Juett died happy. With her and Kurt walking through the snow towards whatever awaited them.
As Sidney felt Hannah's hand grab his, he felt an instantaneous sigh of relief. He had no idea as to what he'd do if he'd seen the girl just walk off of the roof and plunge to her death.
I don't know how I would have dealt with something like th-
Sidney's train of thought was derailed when he felt the large explosion go off downstairs inside of the warehouse, shaking the roof so much that Sidney himself smashed into the small ledge and fell back down, losing the grip on Hannah's hand, and, in terror, watching the girl fall down to the unforgiving ground below, where she landed with a sickening crunch. Mouth agape, Sidney awkwardly pulled himself up and stared down from the ledge at the broken body of Hannah Juett.
Well, there you go, Sidney! One step closer to freedom!
Expunging the dirty thought from his head, Sidney shook his head in shock. He'd been right to want to leave the warehouse, but he didn't want the others to think that Hannah's death had been HIS fault. It hadn't...right?
"N-no Sid, this wasn't your fault. It wasn't your fault at all. Oh god..."
Turning around from the ledge, Sidney vomited suddenly on the roof, and then just as suddenly, remembered the others downstairs, and the explosion that had rocked the warehouse. A frown spreading across his face, Sidney slowly walked across the roof and leaned over to open the hatch that lead to the ladder. As he turned the wheel and threw open the hatch, he was forced to take a step back, as a blast of heat and a whole lot of smoke billowed out of the hatch, as though it'd been banging on the door trying to escape. Blood draining from his face, Sidney debated going down there.
On one hand, it could be unsafe, and you could choke on the smoke and die, but on the other hand...those guys need you, right? Especially if they're wounded...
Drumming over the fact that he HAD been about to leave, Sidney finally bit the bullet and grabbed ahold of the ladder, taking a deep breath, and using the sleeves of his hockey jersey to hold onto the relatively hot ladder. Sliding down as opposed to climbing, Sidney descended straight into hell. At least, that's what he would have likened it to. The warehouse had been semi-destroyed. A large crack in the wall indicated that some sort of explosive had been set off, and quite evidently, the warehouse had paid the price. Boxes were on fire, and what Sidney almost saw as a crater seemed to be the site of it. Glancing around, the first thing that he saw was Jill, on the floor, face-down, in a pool of blood. Concern showing itself on his face, Sidney trudged over and leaned down, flipping her over and feeling for a pulse. Finding none, Sidney glanced around some more. If the blood could've run any more from his face, it would've, as on the ground, only feet from Jill's corpse, was a very dead-looking Martyn Ferdinand. Stepping over to Martyn and feeling for a pulse (just to be certain of something Sidney pretty much already knew), he felt a pang of relief. If he'd stayed in the warehouse, he would have almost surely died. He couldn't see Jack at all, but he had to assume that the boy had either bolted, was injured somewhere, or had been in the middle of the explosion and incinerated.
I need a weapon...
The awful thought made its way into Sidney's head almost immediately, but he knew that it was right. He wanted to live as much as anyone, and running around unarmed wouldn't do it. Martyn still had his pistol clenched in his hand (amazingly enough), and Sidney bent down and tried working the pistol out of the boy's cold, dead fingers. After a bit of pulling, Sid finally managed to extract the pistol, and proceeded to go into Martyn's bag for the spare ammunition. Placing the ammo in his pocket (they'd taken his bag before), he turned away from Martyn and proceeded to throw up. Rooting through the pockets of a corpse was not an activity Sidney Crosby ever figured that he'd need to do, and the act of doing so simply turned his stomach. Glancing at the large hole in the wall, he knew that he'd be able to squeeze though, and likely away from the area unnoticed. Walking towards the crack, his foot hit a piece of debris, which skittered out in front of him. Gulping, Sidney saw that this was actually Jill's pistol as well. Frowning, he reached down and picked it up, and stuffed it in his pocket.
Turning around to take one last look around the warehouse, Sidney shook his head. I'll never come back here. There's just no way.
With that final thought, Sidney squeezed through the crack in the wall, and ran off into the woods, somehow managing to avoid any of the outsiders, and very luckily, the distracted terrorist.
((Continued in: I swear it's everywhere, it's everything...))
~~~

After tossing the grenade, Angelina Kaige had taken cover, which had ended up being a rather good idea, for the grenade had exploded with such force that it'd sent a good piece of the wall flying in her direction. Because of the fact that she'd opted to hug the ground, it'd flown right over her, a fact that she was quite happy about. After the initial explosion, Kaige had waited a few moments before sticking her head up to investigate. The group outside of the warehouse was still mulled together, and Kaige could see as well as she had before into the warehouse - which was not at all. Slowly raising herself from her lying-down position into a kneeling one, Kaige glanced again at the burning warehouse. The inside was on fire, and smoke was pouring out of the crack, though to anyone inside, they'd simply need to kneel down and they'd avoid most of it. She had to assume that most of them were dead, at least, the three that she'd seen inside, and as such, it might be more prudent to focus on the ones that were outside. She couldn't help but smile at the fact that she loved it when the idiots grouped up together, as they were far easier to kill. Easier to kill meant that she'd have a better chance of winning it all. Winning it all and getting her revenge on Danya.

As Kaige was grinning about that little piece of information, she was surprised by a sickening thud sounding out very close to her, in fact, almost right next to her. Spinning quickly, pistol already in hand, she came face to face with the almost-dead Hannah Juett. The girl had tumbled off of the warehouse, and as she mumbled something about someone named Kurt, Kaige watched silently as she gurgled, and died. The girl seemed to have died from her wounds, that much was obvious. Glancing around again, Kaige crept over to the girl and looked around for any kind of pack that might contain something she was craving - food. Sure, she wouldn't eat anything now, but later on, come a quiet time, she'd hope to munch on whatever she could get her hands on. Unfortunately, the girl had no pack.

Look to your left, to your left!

Seeing a flash of motion to her left, Kaige spun and watched a lone figure disappear into the woods. Giving herself half a mind to chase after whomever it'd been, she decided against it, figuring that whomever it was probably hadn't seen her, and as such, wouldn't be a threat later on, Kaige stepped back into her spot. The group that was outside still hadn't made any real actions, except to be scattered a little when some psycho-looking girl had come and shot at them.

What d'you say, Ang, let's stir some shit up here, shall we?

Taking out her rifle, Angelina took very careful aim towards the group. Looking through the scope, she moved the rifle from target to target. While killing all of them might prove difficult, as they'd know exactly where the shot was coming from, it might put a wrench into their mental mindsets, and that was an advantage that Kaige could use, being as they were already under attack, it seemed.

But which one to choose. The red-headed boy? The one who seemed to be the leader? The black-haired girl?

Instead, Kaige seemed to settle on the other member of the group, a terrified-looking brown-haired girl, who was standing relatively out in the open, and was looking to be a bit of a follower, at least by what she'd seen. Taking careful aim through her gun, she squeezed off the trigger.

The shot took Clare Shephard, who'd been standing, terrified, beside Nevera Aero after the shooting had started, directly in the side of the head. As her head exploded like a ripe melon all over Nevera, her body twitched a bit and collapsed to the ground. Clare hadn't even really had a chance to think before her life had been prematurely ended by Kaige's bullet, and before her body could fall to the ground, it was shot by two more, both in the chest, again spraying Nevera with the unfortunate girl's blood. As the body toppled to the ground, Kaige glanced through the scope and couldn't help but notice the girl's shirt. It read: </life>. Smirking as she put away her rifle, she opted to make a discreet exit.

That's right, I just ended her life. How fitting. Ironic, even.

Slinging the rifle across her back, Kaige knew that she was completely and fully in control of her situation, and that was something that she really, really enjoyed. ...almost too much...god damnit, this battle is making me horny...

It was not a feeling that Kaige had experienced in, truth be told, years, but it was there nonetheless. A smile on her face, she disappeared into the forest as quietly as she'd come, except that she'd truly left a myriad of destruction in her wake.

"Haha....ha..hahaha...haha..."

It was a while before Eh-Sun recognized the half-gurgles, half-giggles as the voice that emitted from her own mouth, strangely enough, now damp and warm with a metallic liquid for some reason. Coughing and choking and laughing at the same time, she continued firing at the boy before her, letting off more shots as her numb arm gripped the gun and pulled back the trigger convulsively.

Red. See? she hissed inwardly with madness and delight as she stared straight ahead. Just like me, just like you, just like everybody. All red now...all red. Red is life, red is death. Red is all of us, red is nothingness. Want me to prove it?

Her laughter was caught in mid-choke as a winding force slammed into her stomach, nearly knocking her over. She was thrown clear several inches back, yet somehow staggered back into balance. Stunned, Eh-Sun found that her hand had automatically found its way to her belly, from which she was bleeding profusely.

Too late....I'm already red.

Looking up again, she laughed again...though it came out as the drenched gurgle of a drowning person, indistinguishable from a cough or a cry. Convulsively she fired again.

And again.

And again...

Even though the figures before her were just a watery blur of red before her. Without even realizing it, she had emptied the entire clip. As a second...and a third slug hit her square in the chest, sending a spray of chest cavity matter, flesh, bone, and blood in all directions, like a fountain, her arm still continued to click convulsively. Out of control, she was. Her arm, rolling eyes, grinning mouth, and laughing voice were all seperate now, no longer controlled by a single mindset.

The impact sent her sprawling across the ground in time with the explosion that followed, and still her hand shuddered...pulling back the trigger, allowing only hollow, meaningless clicks to follow.

Click...

Click...

Click...

Blissfully, memory, along with all sense of living, detaches.

Jeremy was in complete shock, he knew his first round hit the girl, but the next thing he heard was gunshot after gunshot. Everything hit Jeremy like a brick, not just the bullets but everything, the thought that this might be the end. Jeremy went through the island a follower at first, following his friends, trying to help out, he never faced the realization of death until his friends started to die. Now he was the some-what leader of his last group of friends, and Jeremy had been struggling in his mind to tell himself he was not a bad guy on this island.

BAM

Was this it?

BAM

No it can't be the end

BAM

My story doesn't end here

BAM

BAM

Jeremy awaited death, waiting for the pain to hit in full force, waited to fall on the ground and die, but he realized that after all of that, after the barrage of bullets headed towards him, that only 2 made contact, and not very good at that. One hit Jeremy's left shoulder again which now seemed on fire. The other hit Jeremy's left foot, going clean through. Jeremy didn't know it at the time, he may never know it, but he was lucky, the two shoulder wounds he had recieved managed to miss the major artery and the nerves, meaning that he wouldn't bleed to death, at least not right away, and he could still function his arm.

When The barrage of bullets was over and Jeremy sat there like a deer caught in the headlights, it finally hit him that he was alive. After all of that, he was alive. Had that girl been to caught up in her death to aim correctly? Or was it something else? It didn't matter to Jeremy as he walked over to the girl with a noticable limp. Every step he felt pain surge through his body but he gritted his teeth and continued.

Looking at the dead girl he aimed his shotgun at her head and said, "I am sorry, I just have to be careful." Jeremy pulled the trigger effectively over-killing the dead girl.

Heading back to his group Jeremy looked at Nev, his cousin, and Clare. He managed to say, "I...I....I killed her..." Jeremy was not a killer, he was not a player of the game, but he killed someone, not just someone, a girl. Jeremy looked at his group when a shot rang out, and Clare's head exploded and her body collapsed.

Jeremy ducked and turned around only to see nothing, and then immedtiately said to Nev and Ryan, "Come on guys, we got to get out of here!" Jeremy picked up Clare's shotgun and tossed it to Ryan and said, "Get her bag to, it's probably got the amunition."

Jeremy wasn't ready to be the leader, now he felt responsible for the life of his cousin, and Nev. Jeremy just looked at them both, not showing fear in his eyes, but in his mind he was so confused, he knew they had to leave, they had to find a spot to settle down, and re-organize and plan their next move.

Coming from the Makeshift Hospital: http://s10.DEFUNCT_IF_LINK/SurvivalOfTheF...732&st=45&#last

Clemence didn't know how long she'd been swiftly staggering through the jungle. She wore a glazed look in her cold blue eyes. The smell was horrible, bodies strewn across the land in every direction. Well over the hundred or so who had perished while Clemence was stalking the island given Sydney Morvran's group and perhaps others before his.

She looked like death. Her corn silk blond hair was caked in a mattered tangle of both the blood and viscera of her victims. She had a gash above her right eye from a branch she'd clipped while running away from Rice. Her leg was badly burned and bleeding and it stung unlike anything Clemence had ever experienced. Her clothing was tattered and she ached from all the fights and various minor wounds that had resulted from them. She didn't look sane... and she wasn't. She looked absolutely bloodthirsty.

She came upon a warehouse...

"...kill them all they crippled you... you could have been one of the greatest ballerinas the world had ever known but they crippled you... and now they have to pay..."

The voice made her jump... it sent chills down her spine... she looked around... no one...

"Who's there?" the dancer hissed hoarsly.

"You can't see me little girl but I see you... do as I say and kill them all... your reward will be plentiful..."

Bewildered she staggered towards the building gripping her blade tightly, ready to eviscerate anything in her path to victory.

Clare. She was gone, it wasn’t that he was afraid of death, it was that he just didn’t like being there when it happened, however here he stood witnessing his cousin kill someone and his best friend die…her brains splattered everywhere. He had to have faith that everything will be alright, but right now faith itself seemed like such a futile emotion, no use would an emotion that was used to mask fear be useful when fear was your last chance at survival, he dropped the shotgun, he was standing in the middle of the path, oblivious to what was happening around him, he clutched Clare, his hand on her chest searching desperately and futility for a heart beat.

“Clare? Remember when we showed that huge guy who attacked us that our friendship was stronger than anything, did you forget? Have you forgotten, fucking damn it even Jeremy has changed…he’s killed to, just kill me right now god, strike me down or something…it’s to fucking much.” his head was now buried in her chest, silently weeping, holding her cold, headless body, pressing her breasts against his face and ears hoping for a heart beat, a heart beat would be his salvation.

Unfortunately for Ryan, salvation much like that heart beat would never come.

Destruction...

Whoever had come this way had left the area in chaos... they were clearly gone now, but they had left the area open for pillaging just the same.

Clemence stalked painfully into the warehouse and noticed the survivors of the massacre mourning the loss of their comradier.

Fools... I'll kill them all...

She set her sights on a boy... he was clutching the corpse of a dead girl and he had a gun! Clemence felt her heart beating rapidly... they hadn't noticed her. She was being very sneaky even in her injured state. The dancer felt what could only have been described as a rush of adrenaline as she manuevered her way towards the boy. There were only three of them but Clemence hoped to make quick work of the other two with the handgun her soon to be victim kept.

The boys back was turned, the girl nearby hadn't made a move, she was covered in the gore of another student, perhaps that of the dead girl Clemence's stalkee cradled. They all seemed to be in shock. All the better for Clemence. Clemence could make out at least three, maybe four corpses.

She watched them for a moment gathering her strength. The burning sensation in her leg was excruciating but she forced herself to bear it. If she wasn't strong enough she deserved to die... the strongest one was the only one who deserved the title of Battle Royale champion. It certainly didn't appear to be one of these three.

***

When Ryan Torres asked God to strike him down, he probably didn't expect to get his wish. As he stood cradling the body of his beloved friend Clare he was taken by sheer surprise as an unseen assailant drove a sharp blade through his juggular. He looked to Nevera and Jeremy in time to hear gunshots and subsequently crashed to the floor in a twitching heap. In seconds his world would go black but for the time being he simply looked to the body of his friend and smiled. They wouldn't have to be stuck in this hell together any longer. And with that the hellish ordeal known as the Battle Royale came to an end for Ryan Torres.

Blackness...

His eyes dilated quickly as the blood ceased to flow.

DEAD BOY # 112 Ryan Torres

11 Students Remaining

***

Clemence had been stealthy and quick like a viper. That had proved deadly for Ryan Torres. Unfortunately for her she had never fired a gun before and as she stole Ryans handgun she missed her shot as Nevera completely. Realizing her predicament she acted fast, swiping up spare ammunition as much as it hurt to bend and pick it up of the cold ground. She noticed her dagger embedded in the neck of the boy she had just murdered and ripped it violently out of his throat. Turning fast she hobbled back through the warehouse and made her escape. She didn't know if they had time to react to her attack she hadn't heard gunshots but then again Clemence reminded herself that she wasn't as alert as she could of been... she was only concerned with getting away...

Okay so she had panicked... but she had been sucessful in getting the one thing she desired most during her whole stay on the island... a gun... while her leg made things substantially more difficult, the handgun more than compensated... if she could become comfortabl with aiming it. She'd screwed up back there and she knew it.

"Good Clemence..."

That damn voice again. She must have been going insane. Thinking a mile a minute she headed in the direction of the makeashift hospital. Her leg needed tending and she needed to reorganize and make a game plan. Making haste she disappeared into the forest as quickly as she had come.

Jeremy was sitting by the tree, arguing in his mind over his actions. He kept telling himself he was a good guy, that he wasn't just some cold hearted killer, but he killed that girl. It was out of self defense though wasn't it?

If it was then why did you take that extra shot at her?

Jeremy closed his eyes and tried to clear his head, tried to convince himself that he was still good, that is when he heard his cousin say something. He heard Ryan say something to the dead Clare that hurt Jeremy more than anything else.

fucking damn it even Jeremy has changed…he’s killed to

Jeremy just flinched at that, he killed to save his cousin...he killed to save the team. He didn't do it to support the game...that he when he heard something. Jeremy opened his eyes in time to hear a gunshot and see a girl running away. Jeremy didn't react, he only saw his cousin laying down on the ground, covered with blood. Jeremy didn't try to pursue the girl, he just quickly shouted, "nev you ok?"

By that time Jeremy was over his dead cousins body, and all he could manage was, "Ryan...why...I'm so sorry....I..." He trailed off and for the second time during his stay on the island, a tear rolled down Jeremy's cheek, and landed on his cousin's body. "I'm sorry Ryan. I'm sorry I led you to believe I was a killer. I'm sorry I let you die. I should have been watching..."

"Nev." Jeremy looked up at his friends with fire in his eyes. "I don't know where Scott is but it's you and me now. Grab Clare's shotgun and bag, see what kind of ammo she has." Jeremy went to his bag and took the clip out of his shotgun and placed it in the bag with ammo. He then took out 8 shells and manually loaded his shotgun. Jeremy then shoulded his two bags and gripped his shotgun. Standing up he looked at Clare and said, "I got your back and you got mine. I'm not sure if Scott is dead or not, but Nev, numbers are down on this island I'm guessing, and if you want to see home again, we have to fight to survive now."

"I let Fred down. I let Glenn down, I let Mallory down, I let Heather, and now I let Clare and Ryan down. I swear to you Nev, I will not let you down. Ryan thought the game turned me, do you think that too? I don't think so, but we have to find others...maybe. We need to find Ryan's killer, I need to finish Mallory's quest and find Glenn's killer. Well I don't want to start stalking people....but Nev, listen, I am going to fight with you until me and you are the last two, and when we are, not if we are, when we are, I will make sure you go home."

Jeremy just looked at Nev, not sure what he was getting at, but he knew that he had to protect her, he wasn't a killer, he refused to give in to the game. Jeremy came into the game refusing to play, and he would leave it refusing to play. He screamed, "Do you hear that! Jeremy Torres refuses to play this game!"

Sidney Crosby had to admit that he wasn't doing all that good of a job at the whole 'directions' thing. Since moving out from the warehouse, he'd essentially gotten lost in the woods, and hadn't really done all that good of a job of sticking to any specific path. Granted, sticking to a path was something that Sid figured might be good to avoid - being as most of the remaining people alive WERE players, and they'd likely be travelling the paths as well, but that just gave normal people like him more of a tendancy to get lost.

Heh, normal people. After everyone's drilled into my head that I'm something special, this happens and really proves to everyone that I'm just a normal, nothing-special person, just like everyone else out there. The famed Sidney Crosby gets lost in the woods. How absolutely embarrassing.

Sidney's own arrogance had, in the past, gotten him lost a few times. He never enjoyed stopping for directions, and sometimes had lead his friends on some pretty wild rides. That, of course, could be attributed to his many moves, so he never really got to know one city all that well, but even still...

Stepping over a tree branch, Sid thought back to the pale red lights that he'd seen earlier. He'd stopped suddenly at the line of lights, taking a few steps back. This, of course, would have been a danger zone, and stepping into it would mean certain death. With a look of disdain, Sid had turned around and started back the other way, having the distinct feeling that he was walking in a circle. So now, as he navigated his way around a familiar outcropping of trees, he couldn't help but feel a strong sense of deja vu - something that was very bad, as it meant that he was likely in an area that he'd been in before, and if it were the warehouse, there could still be hostiles around.

Hefting the pistol that he'd snagged off of the ground of the warehouse in his left hand, he felt his wrist weaken on the grip. Sidney was NOT one to usually carry a gun, so it was only natural that he felt ridiculously awkward carrying around a loaded weapon, fending for himself and fighting for his life. He'd been gripping the gun pretty much since he'd left the warehouse, not even checking to see if it were loaded. Truthfully, Sid didnt know how. Mind wandering off, Sidney hardly paid attention as he brushed aside a large branch and stepped out into the open, bumping into someone standing right in front of him. Startled, Sidney reflexively raised the gun and began frantically squeezing the trigger.

Nevera Aero had been listening and comforting Jeremy Torres, who'd just lost his cousin, and as Jeremy had knelt down beside Ryan's body, she'd stepped back a bit, just to the outside of the clearing, near to the woods. Suddenly, without any warning, someone gave her a shove, and the bullets began to fly. Without any time to react, Nevera was hit in the back, severing her spinal column just below the small of her back, and in the back of the head, essentially blowing half of her face clean off, and killing her instantly. As Nevera's corpse collapsed to the ground, Sidney, who at this point, was squeezing the trigger on the empty gun just out of fear, looked down at the person that he'd just killed, and then at the other boy, hunched over a body, and screamed in pure terror.

With a look of unadulterated horror on Sidney's face, he turned around and took off running as fast as was humanly possible in the other direction. It had happened again. He'd fucked up, and somebody had died.

Sidney Crosby: the next one...more like Sidney Crosby: the next fuck-up!

His mind screamed at him over and over, and as he finally managed to get onto a path to another location, away from the godforsaken warehouse, he couldn't help but be amazed at the fact that he'd managed to survive this long....

At this point in the game, Jeremy felt like things couldn't get any worse, nothing but pain was thrown to him, friend after friend dying, but Jeremy was wrong. Things could get worse, and they did.

Jeremy was looking at his dead cousin when gunfire errupted right next to him. Jeremy readied his weapon on instinct, only to see Nev fall over dead, and a boy running away. Jeremy looked in terror at his dead friend. Crawling over to her he shook her lifeless body, saying her name over and over. When there was no response Jeremy just fell back against a tree.

He thought over his options, he could sit here and be the next to die, or he could be pro-active and seek out others, or at least find a nice spot to hide out until the game was over. But what about Scott?

Jeremy hadn't heard anything from his last ally in the game, the boy he managed to change. Jeremy stood up, and emptied the contents of Clare's bag into his own, and Jeremy shouldered his full bag, and his empty bag. Jeremy shouldered Clare's shotgun, and had his own out. He felt like Rambo or something, minus the braveness and the skill.

Jeremy sighed, and looked at the dead bodies of his three former allies. He shook his head and said, "Nev...I let you down...." Jeremy was too much in shock to cry, or to think more, his only thought was to leave the are, and that is what he did.

(To the handler of Nev, please acknowledge our inactivity policy, and understand that we deemed the elimination of one Nevera Aero necessary in order to reduce the level of slowdown we are currently experiencing. The mods have decided to take action to eliminate characters inactive for more than a month in order to make things fair for the other players.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and hope to see you joining us in V2. )
