Starting place for B#54

the begining....

A large, and old warehouse. The corners are covered with cobwebs, and there are a few cracks in the flooring showing its old age. This would make a great meeting place for any group, because of the table, chairs, random knickknacks, and all the tools.

ooc(Alright, I can work with that)

Cody began circling the warehouse as he saw the girls futile attempts to get out. It was clear now that the Jacob boy was a crafty fellow, one that Cody would have to look out for in the future. The only thing Cody was really worried about was Loretta.

If that bastard does anything to her, I will make sure that he pays.

Cody's frustration began to mount. He had come to the warehouse with one intention: to get a fucking gun. All he had found there was a bunch of losers and one annoying boy who had bamboozled the rest of them into this dank warehouse. He sneered as he turned to the three still dumbly standing by the door.

"The door is fucking locked you retards. Now, either start looking for another way out, or all Jacob will find when he comes back is three dead bodies."

At the harsh words of Cody, Amanda's brow furrowed, and she turned towards Cody, shotgun and all, now firmly pointed at the boy who had just threatened them.

Wow, am I really doing what I think I'm doing?

"Did you just say what I think you said? Nobody's dying in here, not at all. Don't even think about trying anything, either."

"Got it." David nodded, raising his pistol and running to the right of the path, running along to the warehouse, the concern that he had pushed to the back of his head now at the breaking point as the warehouse got closer and he could see the familiar appearance of a boy in a ripped black trenchcoat. To someone more calm, it would be obvious that was exactly what Jacob was waiting for, but David wasn't very calm at the time.

Cody smiled at the girl who was now pointing the shotgun at him.

"I did not say I was planning on killing you, I said that if you fuck around anymore, there is a good chance that something bad will probobly happen to you"

He walked up so that he was right in front of her, his face hovering inches away from hers.

"Its called Karma."

With that, he grabbed Amanda's head and forced it towards his, kissing her on the lips. He could feel the barrel of the shotgun grind into his crotch, and it actually was quite a turn-on.

yeah, I'm going to have to snag that from you pritty soon, if you don't mind

Madelaine had been gazing suspiciously towards the unknown boy who had suddenly taken the liberty of ordering them around, uttering what seemed like a threat to them. The harshness of his words startled her into caution, and she had been about to raise her gun as a warning.

But what shocked her even more now, and aggravated her, even, was the sight of this strange boy forcing her friend Amanda into a kiss. The very brazenness of this act was enough to send her staring shocked at the two of them, though it suddenly turned to anger.

If someone like him did that to any another friend...or even myself...

Without word or warning, she immediately advanced upon him from behind so that he was unable to see her, withdrawing quickly the tire iron from her pocket. She had never used it since its discovery, and now seemed the most brilliant time to put it into good use.

She swung hard, directing the curve of heavy iron towards the back of the boy's neck.

OOC: And post he shall...

With a great degree of urgency, Adam Dodd stepped around to the side of the warehouse that he knew there to be a door on. He had briefly passed by the warehouse earlier on during his wandering to find his group, and yet had opted to stay right away from it, for it looked to be inhabited, and at that point, he hadn't been looking to join a new group; rather he was looking for his old one.

If it ain't broke, why fix it?

That had been somewhat of a motto for Adam since he'd woken up and found himself in the game of Survival of the Fittest. If what he was doing to survive wasn't having any direct harm on his safety, then why stop? He'd been in a group since he'd woken up, first meeting Alan, then Hawley, and then the others, and up to this point, he'd not recieved any major injuries, apart from the slice on his arm that had bled nice and profusely. Hawley had done (from what Adam saw) an absolutely wonderful stitch job that hardly hurt, but rather simply throbbed at times when he was running.

Of course, now wasn't one of those times, but Adam was still painfully aware of the dull throb as he made his way towards the locked door of the warehouse. Glancing around, his pistols drawn, he made sure that there wasn't some knife-wielding psycho around before he stepped to the door and attempted to simply turn the knob. Thanks to what seemed to be a bullet within the mechanism, it didn't budge at all.

"Fuck..."

The curse was out of his mouth no sooner than Adam heard what appeared to be a struggle inside of the door. The commotion-like sounds alarmed him, but at this point, there was nothing he could do except get the door open.

Hold on...who's even IN here, anyways?

As he tried throwing his shoulder against the door, he mentally made a checklist of who could be in the warehouse. Madelaine and Amanda were likely inside, and unless the two girls were fighting for whatever reason, it made it likely that there was more than just them inside the large structure. Whatever the case may have been, though...Adam knew that the sooner he got in, the better.

Come on, guys...hold on, I'm coming...

He just hoped that he wouldn't be too late.

OOC: I thought I implied it. Anyway, can we keep the violence IC? Well, I know what to do nonetheless.
IC: Jacob had been waiting for someone to do that. Readying his gun. he stepped out from the tree he was hiding behind, raised the gun so he was aiming at Adam's head, and got ready to pull the trigger. Suddenly, a bullet tore some of the wood from the nearby tree.

"Adam! To your left!" he heard a voice say. Looking away from Adam, he saw David standing not too far away. Now it would be two on one, and Jacob probably wouldn't stand much of a chance. Thinking quickly, he hatched a plan in his head and fired twice at David (intentionally missing and kicking up dirt near his feet) before running into the woods.

"Damn it all." David muttered, firing at Jacob (but probably missing, since he didn't see Jacob slow down). Running after him, he shouted to Adam.

"Adam, I'll go after him, you try to get that door open!"

And with that, he followed Jacob into the woods and fell into the other boy's trap...

Martyn had been half-way up the ladder leading toward the roof when more gunshots where fired, and he found himself sinking closer toward the ladder in hopes of whoever was doing the firing wouldn’t notice the Scotsman trying to climb a ladder.

But when the familiar voice of David rang trough the air, calling to Adam that he’d handle with whoever had been causing the problems. Keeping himself pressed against the ladder he waited a minute or so before descending back down the ladder, hopping onto the dirt ground and making his way toward where he had remembered the door begin.

Peeking about the corner first, gun once again drawn he gave a sign seeing that only Adam stood near the door in question, he pursing his lips a little before moving fully from around the corner. “Ne, mate… ‘verything oright?”

Adam scowled as he again tried to bodycheck the door, which wouldn't seem to come open. As Martyn poked his head around the corner and enquired as to the status of things in general, Adam found himself thinking that things could certainly be a whole hell of a lot better.

"Fucking door's locked, man...I've been trying to smash it open but it's no use. Some asshole shot the fucking doorknob and this door has now become a glorified wall. You see anything on the roof? Windows, a walkway...anything?"

Martyn glanced about the building in the general area he stood in, a thoughtful look passing over his face as he did. “There’s windows all about the bloody place… though they look rather ‘igh…” He admitted, replacing the gun in the blazer of his uniform before using one hand to rub along his chin.

“Didn’t quite make it to the ‘op the roof though, once the shooting stopped I figured it okay to come back down.” He admitted lightly dropping his hand; eyes scanned the area once more before looking back toward Adam grinning still. Quite the case this one, since his time on the island had begun he had gotten quite the look on life as the ‘glass being half-full’ instead of the other way around as he had back home.

“But I’ll go back up there and check…” Martyn muttered, nodding his head briefly, “That or we can figure some way of getting into those bloody windows.”

(Coming from Girl #34 - Into the Fire.)

A winded and exhausted Jill had finally arrived at the warehouse. As she had left the Eastern Shore, she had run, in almost a full sprint, up until this point. Jill collapsed over, placing her hands on her knees, fighting for breath. She was a member of the track team, yes, but it had certainly not prepared her for the marathon-style run she had just endured across the island. In hindsight, it probably was not the smartest decision she could have made, but somehow, she had made it this far safely, and she accredited that fact to the mad dash she had made to this location.

It took a moment, but she finally regained her breath... well, for the most part, anyway. Jill rose from her slouched over position and ran both her hands through her hair, brushing it away from her face. The large structure that jutted out from the grove of trees must have been the warehouse. Jill approached, albeit cautiously. Her face turned an almost pale shade of white as she heard pounding coming from the side of the building, followed by an unfamiliar voice with a thick, rich accent.

That or we can figure some way of getting into those bloody windows.

Who WAS that? Not recognizing the voice at all, Jill continued to slowly approach the side of the building, hoping for the best, but certainly fearing the worst. As she slowly eased around the corner, she saw two figures. One of whom, the one with the accent, she presumed, she did not recognize. But... the other. That bright red hair made the other figure easy to pick out from anywhere.

"Dodd?" Jill blurted out loudly, surprising even herself. "No frickin' way."

She stared blankly at the two figures, somewhat baffled, somewhat curious. The loud thuds that she had heard moments ago had come from this direction. Had these two been the source of the commotion. What was going on here? Suddenly, Jill found herself at a loss for words, not to mention, possibly in a very bad position. It was at that moment that she saw it... Adam's blood-stained arms and hands, the worried expressions on the faces of the two boys and... the guns. Both of them were holding guns. Jill's eyes widened. She had been so thrilled to see a familiar face that she had been completely oblivious until now.

Her eyes traced back and forth to Adam, the other boy... and the guns. There was something very unsettling about this scene. Should she run? Surely, they had already heard her. How could they not have? Jill stood, frozen, wishing dearly that she could turn back the hands of time just a few seconds. She stood, paralyzed, not able to run, as her gaze froze on the guns in the boys' hands.

"Dodd? No frickin' way."

Hearing his last name come from an unfamiliar voice had not exactly been the first thing that he expected to happen as Martyn had finished talking. Sure, there were plenty of people that he knew from his school on this island, but not many of them spoke first and asked questions later.

You've learned yourself firsthand that doing such a thing isn't exactly a good way to go about surviving here...goddamn, Adam...when the hell did you get so cynical...?

But as he turned to look at the new arrival, he was rather surprised to be looking upon someone he knew relatively well, as opposed to the many others that he'd only met while on the island. Sure, Adam had been the outgoing kind of guy when he was in school, and most people in the school had spoken with him at least once, but he'd met very few of his actual friends throughout his travels on the island. River Garraty had been one, Amanda Jones was another. He'd briefly spoken with his late best friend Andrew Lipson before Andrew had died, but aside from them, he hadn't really been friends with any of the other people he'd met up with.

Essentially, the way Adam looked at things; you were his friend if your name was in his cell phone, and the girl that he was looking at; she was on speed-dial number seven. He shouldn't have been surprised to see Jill Gatling standing in front of him, for she HAD been on the trip, but Adam hadn't really (and for this he felt slightly guilty) thought about her at all since he'd arrived on the island. He'd been mainly concerned with accepting what was going on, finding Amanda, and then keeping his group safe that he had refused to think of the fate of the rest of his friends. Ever since River had run off...

But he tossed the thought from his mind as he skimmed over the cirumstances surrounding his late friend's demise. Thinking about such things didn't make any sense, for it was simply Adam dwelling on the past.

And if there's one thing that's bound to come up and fuck me right in the ass, it's dwelling on things that have already happened, on people that have already died. We've got to live in the present, because if we don't, we're going to become a thing of the past. Well, ain't that fuckin' profound.

As he looked Jill over, he held up a hand to stifle any movement from Martyn. His face noticably relaxed. If there was anyone he knew wasn't playing, it would be Jill. The poor girl was probably so shell-shocked...he knew her to be a tough girl, but violence wasn't her forte; as judging from many of the times in which he'd been to the movies with her among his friends. She was always one of the most squeamish.

Fuck, it's like we're living in one of those shitty slasher flicks, isn't it...

Shaking his head, he couldn't help but grin a bit.

"Hot damn, Jill...you're a sight for sore eyes..."

Adam trailed off, though, as he saw the far-away, frightened look in the girl's eyes, and the fact that they were very focused on the pistol that he was holding. His eyes going wide, he held up the hand without the pistol in it.

"...hey, wait...I'm not playing. I may look a little...beat up, but I'm not playing..."

As he listened to the words coming from his mouth, Adam couldn't help but wonder if the other girl would even believe him. Adam wasn't sure that he even believed himself, at this point.

Of course, that's the point in which you know you're fucked, now ain't it? Self-doubt leads to self-destruction...?

Silently he shook his head to himself. It wouldn't happen, not if he could help it.
