Lone Pine Mall

The Lone Pine Mall is a perfect example of unadulterated consumerism. While the architect might believe that its design is unique and representative of “Seattle’s spirit”, it could be any generic mall in any city across the United States. The mall is divided into three main sections: the practically identical West and East wings, and Center Court that houses the majority of the restaurants and the entrance to the movie theater.

Identical in layout to Western wing, the Eastern wing houses many popular clothing and gadget stores such as Old Navy, Wet Seal, H&M, Bath & BodyWorks, The Sharper Image, and Gamestop. The anchors on the East end of the mall are JC Penney and Nordstrom.

  • Food Court
Usually the most active portion of the mall, the food court seems to be a perpetual hub of commotion. With a wide array of choices, there seems to be something to suit nearly every taste and budget. Perennial food court staples like Sbarro, Taco Bell, Subway, Orange Julius, and Dairy Queen exist alongside small, family owned restaurants that serve sushi, all organic vegetarian dishes, Mongolian BBQ, and Indian street food.
